And the Winners Are…
We held our breath in bated anticipation. After all, this was our first rodeo.
Last week, our marketing pros attended the Maryland Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development’s (MSHSMD for short) annual Alfred Knight Marketing Excellence Awards luncheon on Friday, April 4 in Columbia, Maryland. This was the first year Graphcom entered submissions of our healthcare marketing work for awards consideration, and we received an Alfred Knight Award of Excellence for the Righttime Medical Care services mailer in the category direct mail/email.
“We are honored to receive such recognition from this well-respected healthcare professional organization,” said Graphcom President Matt Livelsberger. “We understand the unique challenges that businesses and organizations in this industry face. Addressing these challenges collaboratively with our clients gives us the ability to leverage the resources we have with our own in-house staff and production capabilities to develop standout marketing materials that make an impact.”
“Our direct mail project with Graphcom offered us a unique opportunity to introduce our services to thousands of people in the Frederick community who may not have been familiar with our urgent care and concussion care centers,” said Amy Knappen, chief creative officer for Righttime Medical Care.
“Our marketing team enjoyed the creative collaboration with Graphcom. Their group was a pleasure to work with, from their easygoing professionalism to the high quality of the end product. We appreciate our ongoing partnership with Graphcom for other creative projects,” she added.
A Peek at the Project
We began working with Righttime Medical Care last year. Though new to Graphcom, Righttime Medical Care is not new to the state of Maryland: Its 11 locations (including two new ones opening this spring) offer common illness, injury treatment, sports injury and concussion care, X-rays and more for walk-in and by-appointment patients 7 a.m. to midnight daily.
Graphcom Creative created this unique, stair-step design mailer that literally stands out in the mail. After opening the initial cover, the viewer can automatically preview the contents inside through a series of step-down pages and tabbed heading dividers. Bright, warm colors were used throughout the self-mailer to engage viewers, and infographic treatments provide at-a-glance information for easy assimilation of pertinent information.
Refrigerator-style magnets promoting Righttime’s locations along with concussion awareness guidelines from Righttime’s HeadFirst Sports Injury and Concussion Care entity accompanied the mailer.
Nowhere Else but Up
Once the celebrations ceased (all parties have to end eventually), we were back at our desks. What an experience and what a wonderful opportunity to see work submitted by and speak with dozens of talented healthcare marketing professionals from across the state of Maryland. We were honored to be in their company.
But, alas, no time to rest on our laurels … onward and upward!
