Kelly Brooks has joined Graphcom Creative as a copywriter and managing editor of Frederick Gorilla magazine.

“When we were looking for a writer/editor to add to our creative team, we knew we wanted someone who had tremendous healthcare marketing experience. Kelly brings that experience and so much more,” says Troy Dean, Graphcom’s creative director.

Brooks previously served as editor of Johns Hopkins Nursing, a magazine for nurses across the Johns Hopkins University and Health System, and Be Well, a Frederick, Md.-based wellness publication. Most recently, she served clients such as Johns Hopkins University, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and Frederick Gorilla magazine as a freelancer.

All told, Brooks brings more than 12 years of experience in editing, copywriting, communications and marketing to her role at Graphcom.

Brooks will have her hands full writing copy for Graphcom Creative’s clients, managing editorial flow for Frederick Gorilla magazine and working on marketing, advertising and promotional materials for Graphcom, Inc. and its business divisions, which include Graphcom Creative, Signs by Graphcom, Field and Floor FX, and Graphcom Publishing.

“In the few short weeks since she joined us, we’re already saying, ‘What did we do before she was here?’” says Dean. “From our publications to our social media writing to our own marketing efforts, Kelly is making a huge impact. We’re excited for what’s to come!”
